How to review an automation before saving it

A checklist for reviewing the fields Coinomatic validates when an automation is created.

Updated

The review screen is where a collection of settings becomes one understandable rule. Spending a moment here can prevent a unit, timezone or destination choice from becoming a repeated surprise.

Give the rule a recognizable name

Choose a name that helps you distinguish this automation from the others. Then confirm its mode. A helpful name makes navigation easier, but the saved fields determine the behavior.

Read the conversion as a sentence

Which asset is involved? Is the rule a percentage or a fixed amount? Is there a cap or minimum balance to keep? Read the summary using those questions and check that the units match your intention.

Check timing and withdrawal separately

For Scheduled, review the timetable and timezone. For an available withdrawal step, inspect its destination and conditions. A successful conversion does not by itself establish that a withdrawal will complete; exchange balances and execution results still matter.

Decide when it should stop

Review the end condition before saving. A rule reaching that condition may be behaving exactly as configured, even if you expected it to continue.

Finish with a second look

After saving, return to Automations and inspect the state. Use the Knowledge Base creation guide as your checklist, then review Logs after execution to connect the settings with actual activity.
