Verification turns a vague connection problem into a specific check. Read the individual results before replacing credentials or changing an automation.
Review the checks
- Open Connection and review the verification result.
- Inspect Credential validity, Required permissions, IP restriction and Connectivity.
- Note whether each check is Passed, Failed, Warning or Not evaluated.
- Follow the relevant setup instruction for the check that needs attention.
- Run the available verification action again after correcting the setup.
Interpret the result
Credential validity concerns the supplied credentials. Required permissions concerns what they allow. Connectivity concerns reaching the exchange. Treat these as separate signals rather than assuming every failure means the password or key is wrong.
Do not skip warnings
A warning deserves review even when another check passed. Not evaluated is not the same as Passed. Read the details shown for the current provider and configuration.
When to ask for help
Share the failed check label, visible error and relevant time with support. Keep credential values out of the message. This provides useful context without exposing access to your exchange account.
